NOVEMBER 2002 Gratefulness: As Paul stated to the Philippian church, “I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making my request for you all with joy for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now; being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ, And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in full knowledge and in all perception; that you may distinguish between things that differ, that you may be sincere and without offense until the day of Jesus Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.” (NKJV) You may be saying, “Rita, this is a strange way to start your letter.” Not at all if those you share a partnership in ministry with is on your mind. In the above verse we read that Paul was encouraging the believers of their faithfulness to his ministry. As I was reading this I thought about all of you that have “from the first day until now” partnered with us to carry the gospel message of Jesus Christ to the people of Romania. Many times I end my letter with a grateful thanks. This month God pressed my heart to begin with a note of gratitude to all of you who have been so faithful with your prayers and financial support. The gospel could not have gone forth through us if not for you. However, through your faithfulness to continue sending your monthly support we have been able to expand into more and more villages year after year. Praise Jesus! As I think about all God has done over the last few years I see one thing over and over.
How much are you needed? Words can never express how greatly we continue to need you. However, words can say this, without “YOU” numerous lives would not have known about the life changing power of Jesus Christ. You are the missionary that is most needed to continue sending God’s love to a dying generation. Thank you so much! We appreciate everything you do on a monthly base. Our prayers are with you! Project Update: Many of you have asked me about the water heater and if we have been able to get it replaced. Today I can report that God is never to late. If you remember in one of my newsletters I asked for help so that we would be able to replace this needed system. When I left to come home the weather there had already started getting colder and I had no knowledge of receiving money towards this project. However, thanks to so many individuals and churches that contributed we now have everything replaced. It cost a few more hundred than we had estimated yet God was faithful. It is a relief to know that we won't be having gas flumes flowing in the house this winter. Thanks for all of your hard work in helping get this large expense behind us. May God richly return unto you all for your faithfulness to give. Ministry Update: Humanitarian building has been busy! The numbers of people who come are increasing each month as more and more people from village’s miles away hear of the foundation that will give you clothes. Our demands are so high now that we have appointments on Tuesday and Friday just for those receiving aid. The amazing thing is that we will get to a point where it looks like we won’t have much more to give away and then we will receive shipments back to back from America. God is using Manna Ministries in Atlanta, GA. to continue this supply of goods so that those in need can continue to be blessed. All those who receive are screened very carefully to make sure that there really is a need. We honor the fact that God has used this ministry outreach to bring many to Jesus Christ. Praise Jesus for His faithfulness and the faithfulness of people to send goods! Christmas in Romania: We have been extremely busy preparing for the Christmas outreach this year. The team will be in Romania the 10th through the 16th. We have scheduled loads of evangelistic outreaches. Be in prayer that the Holy Spirit will begin now to prepare hearts for the message of Jesus Christ. Believe with us that God’s Word will not return void but that it will accomplish what it is sent out to do and that is to save the lost and heal the hurting. Newsbreak: When I return to Romania on Nov. 25, Ms. Paula Meyers of Ocala, FL. will be accompanying me to volunteer her services. Pray that God will do through her what He desires during the time she is there. Pray health all over her! We have found that prayer for the health of newcomers is most needed because their body chemistry sometimes reacts adversely when adjusting to new weather and foods. Paula’s faith has been extraordinary in the fact that she felt the call of God to volunteer this time. She did not have the money when I spoke with her and we prayed if God were leading that He would miraculously provide for her. Everyday her trip expenses are coming in. Glory! We serve a Mighty God! Lyn’s Progress: Lots of you have asked me about Lyn’s progress, I could think of no better way for you to hear than from Lyn herself.
Friends, and Prayer Warriors: I've just completed two full days of x-rays for every bone in my back, ecographs, mammograms, and blood tests. Have continued great news...No further spreading of the cancer... I have a lot of lesions in the bones in my back but they don't seem to be any more than were there last March. I will continue the oral chemotherapy but no IVs this month. Hallelujah! Again thank you for your prayers. They are what make the difference. God hears His people and responds. My hair is growing (somewhat) and my energy level is up...no more naps in the daytime. Hurrah!!!! To God be all the glory. Prayer needs:
May God bless you and may He provide for all your needs and desires according to each day’s need. 1Kings 8:59 Yours in Christ, Freddy and Rita
