Back to NEWSLETTER Page **EMERGENCY UPDATE** To all of you who were praying for Alexandra and Andrada (Sarah) on July 25, we have news for you. I had to go before the “Commission” in Zalau concerning decision as to whether we could continue to care for these 2 babies. After being questioned earlier by them and having answered many questions concerning certain false accusations about our foundation, we felt strongly that the 2 babies would be placed in an orphanage. Prayers went up all over to the throne room of God for the decision that would be in best interests of these children and, hopefully, would allow us to continue to care for them. While I was waiting that morning for us to be called before the commission I prayed, “ God you have to show Your glory in this matter.” Knowing the hard-shell questioning from previous meetings, needless to say, I was a little on guard. However, God’s Ways are truly unknown to the human mind! When we walked into the room they had 2 chairs set up for us in full view of all present. They read all the information accumulated from months of research on their part. Yet, to my surprise the young vice-president of the “Children’s Protection” in Zalau who had previously been so cold, hard, and determined to find fault with our foundation was now telling the “Commission” positive things he had discovered we were doing as a foundation to help not only the two babies but their family as well. He told the commission about how the family, which previously lived at a dump was now living in a house that he found very clean and with a yard large enough to have a garden and fruit trees all around. While waiting patiently for him to finish, my thoughts raced in amazement to hear all the good he was stating. Knowing how hard this man had questioned me before, it was almost unbelievable what I was hearing. When he finished, the meeting was opened for questioning from any of the members. One man raised his hand to ask the first question, which was, “What religion are you?” Here again I was thinking, aha a testing of my faith. “How will you answer Rita?” I was about to say “Pentecostal” when suddenly the president of the “Commission” said, “They are Pentecostal.” Then looking at me, she asked, “Is that right?” “Yes! I responded!” Expecting more questions, I was flabbergasted when there were none. I saw right before my eyes God silencing other questions, and suddenly they were voting as to whether the babies would be left in our care. Hands went up everywhere! Praise Jesus! We serve a mighty God who still parts the sea to lead His children to safety.
