GOD OUR PROVIDER:

“Praise God from whom all blessing flow!”  This is indeed the song in my heart this month. God continues to do remarkable things in getting us prepared for the work that will begin the first week in October with the team from “Wings of Faith.” We thank them all for taking time from their busy schedules to come and help make the building a more accommodating place to hold worship services. I cannot help but rejoice in our Lord for the blessings. HE has provided for our needs and has answered our prayers.  Another song that continues to echo through my mind “Bless the Name of Jesus, Praise the Name of Jesus we have the victory!”  I had asked you to pray with us regarding the funds needed to begin work on the roof. Last month I even sent out emails telling about the building standing in water and that we could not do anything to the building until we first had the roof repaired. I explained in the emails about meeting with the engineer and a contractor and going with them to look at the building. I expressed my concern that the inside of the building was getting super wet and that we were losing a lot of the brick on the outside because the was water getting into the walls causing them to disintegrate. I asked everyone to pray with me about the estimated cost of $12,500.00 that the contractor had given me to repair the roof. For the price we could replace the beams and shingles. This month I am rejoicing and singing about God blessings because we have had an answer to prayer. Another $6,000.00 was donated by Gary and Kay Lentz from Ocala, Florida to be applied to the work on the roof. We certainly thank this couple for their sacrifice to help in the building of the church. Just last month God pressed my heart with a word from 2 Chron. 20:12; “For we are powerless against this great multitude that is coming against us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you. Thus says the LORD to you: ‘Do not fear or be dismayed at this great multitude; for the battle is not yours but God’s.”  That day after reading God’s Word I was encouraged and began praying, “God, I do not know what to do but my eyes are on you.” Within two weeks David and Diane Smoot called me and told me about the donation toward the roof project. Shout to the Lord all the Earth! God is Great and Powerful!  I was so excited then and I continue to be excited about what God is doing. HIS NAME is powerful! If we just speak the NAME of Jesus every knee must bow in heaven and upon the earth and under the earth. Defeat and despair had to bow their knees to the Name of Jesus. Continue to pray with us for we are now trying to locate the materials and get them secured on site and needless to say we need a supernatural endowment of wisdom in managing the money wisely. We also need your prayers that God bring in the other half of the funds needed to get as much work done on the building as possible this year. Our main goals are to repair the roof, put in windows, and get a new door to the outside installed.  We are also hoping to get some walls torn out to enlarge a couple of the rooms for a worship center. This is an awesome and mighty task that God has placed in our hands. But with HIS help and HIS strength it can be accomplished. God has performed one miracle after another this summer - funding for the generator, approvals, and now this donation. It increases our faith to know that we know that we know God has HIS plan and purpose: and if we yield to Him, HE will work. We give HIM all the glory and praise.

Going The Extra Mile:

The ladies meetings are coming along great. More and more ladies are attending in Ferma Cojocna and even some of the men sit around the outside to hear the teaching. We had one man that came to me last month who was all bent over in his back and was in need of medical attention. He told us that he had no insurance and that the cost of the treatments was far too expensive for him. He asked if we could help him with some of the expenses. We told him that he first needed to write down everything that the doctors had told him and to also provide us with his doctor’s name. Then we would see what we could do if anything at all. The next week he was taken to the hospital in Cluj in an ambulance. I took the wife back to Cluj while Mrs. Lyn stayed for the ladies meeting in Ferma Larga. (Manny as the translator!!) At the hospital we made some inquiries, spoke personally with the doctor and the administrators regarding Mr. Perşa’s condition and asked about medical costs for his treatments and hospital stay. My first thought was maybe we could help with some of his expenses but when I was briefed about the costs for continued medical care, I realized the cost was far beyond the foundation’s present means.  The office administrator then told us that he could apply for social assistance.  We helped Mrs. Perşa complete some of the paperwork and drove her back to the Cojocna Mayor’s office to assist her in processing the request. Needless to say, it did not happen that day. But within a very short time the request was approved and Mr. Perşa is on his way to getting the medical attention he needed. Today after having a few treatments he is doing much better. In fact, he is able to stand almost straight without pain. Praise God! Sometimes helping people is not always about giving monetary gifts but rather going the extra mile to help people to better insure for their future. We knew that if we gave money toward the medical costs that would just be a one-time gift and he would only receive 4 treatments. But after praying for God’s wisdom to know what to do in this situation, HE opened the door for a hospital administrator to provide the answer for Mr. Perşa receiving immediate medical care and to insure his medical treatments in the future. In October he will be having disk replacement surgery so please pray with us for his complete recovery. He is one of the men that sit along the side to hear the Word being taught to the ladies and many times makes comments regarding the lessons. If we had not taken the time, God would not been able to show this man HIS Glory!

Copiii Regelui:

This summer has truly been a transitional year for the Copiii Regelui program in Ferma Larga and Ferma Cojocna.  A room was cleaned out in the building in Ferma Larga in July and the children were moved into the building to get the children used to a classroom / teaching setting and to protect them from the weather. Most of the children have adapted well to the setting, especially the two to six year olds.  It has become evident this year that the different age groups will need to be divided next year.   Our space is extremely limited in one room and there is simply no way to expand the rooms right now.  Walls need to be opened up and more workers are desperately needed to help with children’s program if the spiritual needs of all the children are to be met.

Our theme this summer was “Putting on the Whole Armor of God” – “Dressing for Success.”  We realize that the topic has been quite challenging for the children since most of them have little concept of being in the middle of a battle for their lives and souls. However, our workers have really had our eyes opened to satan’s attempts to hinder the teaching of God’s Word in these villages.  But we know in whom we believe and are persuaded that He is more than able to break down all barriers to the Gospel.

Barbara, Alex and Sarah:

On AUGUST 22nd Barbara went to court for the adoption of the girls. However, the judge did not rule because of the persecutor’s objections and there were a couple more documents that he wanted provided. Tuesday August 29th after 2:00 p.m. her case worker from “Children Protection” will hopefully speak with the judge regarding his decision. Please pray that everything will be in order and that the judge will rule in favor of Barbara and the girls on that day. This truly has been a “trying situation,” but everything has always been in God’s timing.   We are hopeful that soon we can report all went well and the adoption is FINALLY completed.

A special thank you to all of you who give into our ministry. Your support helps us stay on the mission field doing that which we feel God has called us to do.

Yours in Christ,

Freddy and Rita
