Answered Prayer:

Thank you, thank you, and thank you again for all your prayers regarding the approvals with the building in Ferma Larga. God has indeed done a miraculous thing! One day last month I had a sudden impression to go meet with the mayor of Cojocna about getting electricity to the building. Lyn and Trudy had already inquired about electricity before I returned to Romania and the answer was “No” because we had to have a mound of approvals on the building first. I was at my wits-end wondering how and what I could do. The generator was the only thing I could think of because I knew that would at least furnish us electricity.  The very week that God prompted my heart to meet with the mayor we had money donated for the purchase of the generator, but get this it gets even better!

God’s prompting to meet with the Cojocna mayor opened some unbelievable doors. The meeting started with a cold look from the mayor as if he wanted to say, “What do you want, lady, and hurry up because I’ve got better things to do.” However, I overlooked the coldness in the room and went straight into asking him if there was any way that we could get an electric meter box connected to the building so that we could have electricity to begin construction this year? His look continued to be emotionless and cold.  I was sure his answer was going to be, “No way lady!”  Then he began to question me as to what kind of construction I planned on doing. Before I could answer he proceeded to tell me about all the approvals and clearances we would need before we could start working.  He told us that we could not just go in and start renovating without the clearances.  Then suddenly he stopped talking, looked straight at me, and right before my eyes his attitude changed (as though someone had corrected his thinking) and he said, “I think this can be arranged.” He then called the county electrician and engineer over and told them to go with us to the building to see what would be needed for us to begin construction. Notice this: Within one week we went from having no approvals and everything looking impossible to getting the mayor’s office to send government employees with us to overlook the situation and then telling us that we needed no approvals at all. Isn't God great! We are now in the process of getting the Cojocna engineer to meet with a reputable contractor at the building site to determine what should be the first steps to take in the renovation process. We also are preparing for the American construction team that will be arriving on Oct. 6th to help us with some of the renovation. Praise God!

Once we were given the “go ahead” on getting electricity in the building, the donor of the funds to purchase the generator gave us permission to use those funds to finance the electrical connections to the building and to purchase heavy duty transformers for the American tools that will be brought by the October team.

Just last month in my newsletter I said that God had reminded me of a message from long ago entitled, “Just shout out loud, ‘Satan if it be so…’ ”  At that time I asked you to pray with me that God’s glory would be seen in this situation with the building. Without any doubt we at Calea Adevarului can all shout out loud, “TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY FOR THE WONDERFUL POWER THAT WE HAVE SEEN HIM DISPLAY ALREADY.” Again thank you all for your prayers. God has truly done a marvelous work! Please continue to pray however since for there is still so much to do!

Another Miraculous Answer to Prayer:

You all have been praying with us for Barbara, Alex and Sarah. We have good news!   FINALLY, Barbara has a court date for the adoption hearing.  She has to be in court on AUGUST 22nd at 8:30 a.m.!  Please pray that everything will be in order and that the judge will rule in favor of Barbara and the girls on that day. Pray that God's presence will be felt all over the courtroom. This truly has been a “trying situation,” but everything has always been in God’s timing.   We are hopeful that next month we can report all went well and the adoption is FINALLY finalized.

Personal Word:

God has truly been placing greater responsibilities upon us as we continue to minister to the people of Romania. I stand in awe of His marvelous move this year as I witness what HE is doing through the ministry of the Word to the ladies in Ferma Cojonca and Ferma Larga. I also see how God is moving among the children in the Copiii Regelui program.  For the past four years the program has moved the children from “days of Christian fun in the sun” into deeper studies in the Word.  Also I see that those who were only interested in the fun are beginning to step back and those who have a heart to hear the Bible message are stepping forward. I realize that the shift in the teaching, not only to the children but in the ladies groups as well, means that God is preparing us for a greater task and a greater responsibility of ministering The Word through the planting of a church. I continue to believe that if we are faithful to do our best in what God has called us to do, HE will water the seed and bring forth a plentiful harvest.  So please continue to intercede for us that God will illuminate His Word into the hearts of those who hear.  “How can they believe unless they hear and how can they hear if they have no one to share the Word with them?” I truly believe that in the midst of those sitting on the tarp week after week are those that God has appointed to be His apostles, prophets, teachers, miracle workers, help ministers, and administrators to work in His Kingdom. We never know how God will use those who are under our teaching; but we can be assured that many a great man or woman of God at one time was taught by someone who thought their efforts were insignificant or the least in God’s Kingdom.  I was so encouraged recently as I listened to a message that my pastor preached while I was home.  While I listened again to His message entitled “Preparing Ourselves Financially” (Haggai, chapter one), God began to ignite my spirit.

· HE challenged me as He did the children of Israel in restoring His temple.

· HE challenged me about the building in Ferma Larga, to get busy about His business even though I have no idea where the resources will come from.  The building can no longer stand in ruins but work must begin now.  It was purchased so that the people would have a place of worship and we cannot miss the window of opportunity that He has afforded us.

HE challenged me to make HIS PRIORITIES my priorities.

The scripture in Haggai encouraged me to see what God can and will do even in the mist of all kinds of opposition. God’s Word in Haggai caused me to take a deeper look into the call of God and to see Him  (Jehovah, El Shaddai) for who He is.  He is the….

1. God who is in control of all the nations. He can remove political, material, and financial opposition to advance His work.

2. God of His people, and He desires for us to throw off our attitudes of defeatism and to act in accordance with His Word and HIS promises.

3. God who will bless those who put His priorities first.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT:

We continue to thank you all for your support and prayers and may God richly bless you.

Please continue to pray with us that all the funding needed to accomplish the construction work will come. So far we only have $5,000.00 to begin the work and with the rising costs of construction materials in Romania that amount will only get us started.

Yours in Christ,

Freddy and Rita
