Romanian Opportunities: Just 2 days back in Romania and I was faced with major opportunities concerning the building in Ferma Larga. My first week back I had to go to see the agent who handled the sale last year and inquire as to why after 6 months the building had not been registered in the court. The foundation cannot apply for the approvals needed to begin construction and renovation until the sale is registered in the court. During this meeting we learned that the judge had indeed approved the sale of the property. But later when the judge was reviewing the file with all the contracts from all the buyers, he realized that he had signed and approved our contract unlawfully. The commission had not put our legalized contract in the file but rather an unsigned contract copy. So naturally the judge did not proceed to register the contracts but rather ordered the commission to produce a legal copy of the foundation’s contract immediately so the land sale could move forward. During our discussions with the commission, we learned that the commission had misplaced our contract and so inserted an unsigned copy into the file for the judge’s approval. After the judge demanded that they produce a legal copy, the commission searched their offices until the legal copy was found and on its way to the judge. I wished I could say everything is resolved but now the finance department has a hold on the procedure because the finance office is now in agreement with how the commission handled the financial agreement with the previous owners and now the commission must produce original documents from those previous owners before the sale of the farm will be approved by the finance department. The commission continues to assure us that they are doing all they can to get the financial department to loose their hold on the properties so that they finally register all contracts. Once the financial department lifts their bloc on the transfer of properties, the new owners will at long last, and I do mean long last, be able to apply for the approval necessary to begin the renovation. During my prayer time recently after the meeting I started thinking of a message I heard long ago that said, just shout aloud “Satan, if it be so,” the message continued to say that when we are in situations that we have no power over that we are to “declare out loud” that our God can and will deliver us just as He did long ago when He delivered the Hebrew children from the fiery furnace. I am now proclaiming to God, “Lord I, believe…!” Please believe with me that this situation is totally resolved by the time of our next newsletter. Join with me in declaring out loud: · That God will part the mighty sea once again before us and make a way where there seems to be no way and that in the process of all this these men will see the glory of God. · That this is an opportunity for God to show that He is in control and that just because it has always taken a long time in Romania to get all the paperwork processed for the approvals does not mean that it has to be like that now. · That God can still do the impossible. Romanian court system, the Ministry of Finance, the commission members, and all the offices that give the approvals are nothing for HIM to move. They cannot stand in His way when He has ordered a plan. Please, by faith stand with me in prayer. Pray that GOD will rain down HIS glory to a watching world and that these men will stand in awe of God’s quick work. Yes, I do believe that God has a great opportunity here to show HIS glory! Answered Prayer on the Generator: Last month I had asked that you continue to pray with us regarding the purchase of a generator to use in the renovation of the building in Ferma Larga. I told you that unless we had this generator that we would not be able to do an effective job. When I left America there was no promise of a generator; but a Word of Knowledge was given to me before my departure that upon my arrival in Romania everything we needed for this year’s construction would be provided when we needed it. I can report that indeed now we have the money to purchase the generator. A special thanks goes to “New Frontiers, Dr. Tonya” for her generous donation toward the purchase of the generator. It never ceases to amaze me that God is never late. HE IS ALWAYS ON TIME! Again thank you, “New Frontiers”, for your generous gift. May God richly bless you from His bountiful supply for your faithfulness in giving! Children’s Program:June 23rd we began this summer’s children’s program. Our theme this year is “Putting on the Whole Armor of God.” Many from home contributed to this year’s program by providing pieces of armor and games that will be used. The children are excited about the topic and we have had inquiries about the program from outside Ferma Larga and Ferma Cojocna. We hope and pray that these inquires will bring more children to the program this year. If we could only squeeze more children into the van! We ask that those of you who support the children’s program through prayer and your giving will keep us lifted up this year in prayer. We are going into the enemy’s camp and taking back what has been stolen from the people of these villages. The children will be learning to recognize the enemy and that armed with God’s armor they can resist Satan. Ephesians 6 tells us that if we stand and continue to stand arrayed in God’s armor, Satan will flee! Thank You: Our thanks to Shiloh Baptist Church, Selma, Alabama for inviting us to share about Romania in their service and for their generous love offering toward our ministry. May God bless you! A special thank you to Beverly Harless and all those who work at “Princeton Baptist Medical Center” for all the hygiene items they purchased for our ministry outreach in the villages. Last month, I failed to mention these items—soap, shampoo, toothpaste, washcloths and towels—when I spoke of the money they had collected to purchase Bibles. We plan to distribute these items to those in direst need and possibly distribute some in the ladies meeting. Also, they helped in providing some of the items for the children’s program such as plastic helmets, shields, swords, and breastplates. Thank you so much! A special thank you for the person who pledged to provide the monthly support for Manny to continue school and for the one who provided the money for her swing. She has prayed daily for a year and half for a swing in the backyard and she was so delighted to see God had answered her prayer. May God bless you! Thank you monthly supporters: As always, I never want to take for granted all of you who support us on a monthly base. Your support is most appreciated and your prayers. Please continue to daily pray that the Holy Spirit will rest upon us with HIS divine wisdom, understanding, counsel, power, knowledge and that the reverent fear of the Lord will remain upon us and upon the work we have been invited to do in Romania.
Yours in Christ, Freddy and Rita
