MINISTRY UPDATE  “CHRISTMAS IN ROMANIA:”

Our “Christmas in Romania” far exceeded past years as the team from “Network Limited” ministered the depth of Christ’s love to many different villages. Our week started off with a blast at the handicap center “Miracle House.” As always the kids from the center thrilled our hearts with their smiles and laughter as they entertained everyone with many different songs and activities. Then without our knowledge the director of the center had arranged for a Romanian television station to be there. Yes indeed, we had our moment of being in the spot-light. Who would have ever thought and what a surprise that was? In fact, it will be played on national television sometime in January. Wow, I cannot wait to see that interview! Of course, the “Miracle House” always brings joy and laughter to everyone present.

Messeni de Jos: To our surprise this day was a miracle in the making that none of us were aware of. When we arrived in Messeni we were informed to go straight to the mayor’s office. As we walked in we were all greeted with the traditional Romanian Christmas bread. In which, his staff insisted that each team member have several servings. Then down to business as the mayor once again begin to share his heart about the need to school the Roma population in his village. As we listen hearts were being moved by his vision to educate the children. Many questions were asked in regard to his plan in farseeing that his vision becomes a reality. As each question was asked our anticipation grew within as the mayor shared his concern for the lack of education the children were receiving. Everyone was so motivated by the mayor’s vision for the children that before we left his office for our ministry site the team donated $300.00 toward this project. Meanwhile, as we were ministering and distributing food to the families, I learned that some of the team members wanted to sow financially into the lives of these children. Indeed God had worked a miracle! Instead of $300.00 we now were able to donate $900.00 toward the school project that will begin September 2007. Praise Jesus for such a glorious miracle. Educating those who would never have a chance is now becoming a work in progress.

Ferma Larga: Most of you probably can imagine that this site was my favorite. It was such a blessing to me to finally see the people come into the building for our very first family church service. For months I have anticipated the moment when we could hold meetings for both adults and children at the same time. This fall as we worked day in and day out on the building my heart longed for the people to have a place to come and hear God’s Word.  Now, right before my eyes the fulfillment of a dream was becoming a reality. In fact, I thought it was a tremendous turn-out for it being our first service. We had 24 adults and teens in one room as Pastor Gary Lentz preached a message that challenged all of them to God’s love in their homes. Then across the hall in the other room we had 20 children singing with joyful hearts as team members sang and played with them. Then the team presented a wonderful story of “Jesus the Way, the Truth and the Life.”  After that some team members went outside to play games with the children while others stayed indoors to fellowship with the adults and hand out food packets to everyone. I was excited over our very first church/children ministries in the building. What a glorious day it was to me!

Aghires church was also different this year as the team was prompted to pray for many through the laying on of hands. What a move of the Holy Spirit that was felt by all that were present.

Then off to Manny’s School bright and early Monday morning. It was a joy as over a hundred children laughed harmoniously as the team played around making animal balloons. Suddenly as I looked around many of the teachers who always seem so serious were cracking up laughing themselves. Isn’t it funny how God can send people from afar to give someone they have never met a special day?  We may never know the rewards we will receive just by making someone laugh.

Last but not least was the elderly center “Agape.” It was sad to learn after our arrival that two of the ladies who have been a delight in the past have gone on to be with the Lord. It was a pleasure when Diane Smoot was led to give a powerful Word to the elderly on, “Where they would spend eternity.” She did not soften her message at all! In fact, you could feel the anointing of the Holy Spirit flowing through her as she profoundly proclaimed HIS Word. What's more the end results paid off, when four people raised their hand to receive Christ as their savior. Praise Jesus for such a magnificent day!

Once again families were blessed as the team shared freely of their faith in Christ. Also, the team members hard work was indeed a show of their servant hearts as each one stayed up late each night packing gift packets of food, hygiene products, and fruit. Not to mention, all the children received miscellaneous items for each site. But, the greatest gift that was given was the glorious hope and love we have through Jesus Christ.

The people actually seemed to receive our message. In fact, you could see it in many of their eyes as His present was so warmly felt at each site.

· In “Messeni de Jos” over half the room stood as Pastor Gary give the altar call for salvation.

· In “Ferma Larga” almost all of the 24 stood and prayed the sinner’s prayer.

· In “Agape” 4 elderly ladies received Jesus. I will always have a mental picture of the tears that flowed from their eyes as they                 prayed and asked Jesus in their heart. What would have happen if we had not answered the call to go and these elderly ladies had passed into eternity without knowing the "Truth” in Jesus Christ?

I rejoice for the message that went forward and for all the people who were touched by the Word of God and that received Him into their hearts. Without a doubt this year’s “Christmas in Romania” outreach was an exceptional time to many that felt a special touch from the “Master’s Hand.” I believe we can say that it was a glorious and wondrous way to end 2006, as souls were added to the kingdom and angels rejoice that another child made Christ their Lord.

 Our Youngest Translator:

I was proud of our own Manny Balog as she took on her first huge task translating for the team. Manny is only five years old and what an awesome job she did for Mrs. Diane Smoot and Pastor Gary Lentz . Manny, Nana is very proud of you!

 Freddy’s Trip to Romania:

Sometime after the first of the year Freddy will be returning to be with me in Romania. With Lyn’s passing I have no one to stay in my absence and run the foundation. Please be in prayer as he prepares for his trip that everything will go well with all the flights. Also, a special thank you to Pastor Gary and Kay Lentz for providing the funds to purchase Freddy’s airline ticket, we pray that God will bless you in a tremendous way.

 Our Appreciation:

Thank you all for your continued monthly support to our ministry. Our prayer this year is that God will fill you with a double portion of His wisdom, guidance, courage, strength and love. May He also supply all your needs and give you your heart desires this coming “NEW YEAR.” As always we deeply appreciate your support.

Yours in Christ,

Freddy and Rita

Happy New Year To All Of You!
