CHRISTMAS IN ROMANIA:

Preparations are being made for this year’s Christmas outreach as Diane Smoot of “Network Limited” along with 12 team members from Ocala, FL. get ready once again to come and share “Christ, the Reason for the Season.” Tons of stapled food items have been purchased awaiting the team’s arrival in hopes to share the love of God with those less fortunate this year.

They will also conduct children’s services with songs, games, and the message of God’s amazing grace. Adults in several different villages and centers will hear the truth of God’s Word as we all share personally with them of our faith in Christ. Not to mention, all the laughter and joy that the handicapped and elderly center will once again bless us with. Our prayer is that they too will be blessed with the personal gifts we distribute to them . Please pray that all of us will be used by God in a tremendous way to bring hope to those in need.

 ADOPTION:

TO GOD BE THE GLORY!  After five years of dealing with the Romanian government, Alexandra and Sarah’s adoption was approved on November 3rd! Barbara has received the first of her paperwork from the court.  The final, irrevocable adoption decree should come by the first week of December. If all other paperwork comes as quickly as the first, Christmas in Alabama could become a REALITY for Barbara and the girls. Please continue to pray that this ‘possibility’ will become ‘reality.’ Thanks be to God for fulfilling His promises!

WITH OUR LORD:

On November 21, Lyn Dennis, my dear friend/co-worker went home to be with our Lord. I would like to express my condolences for the loss of one so dear. She fought a good fight with her battle over cancer for years but this time it was more than her natural body could overcome.

As a co-worker with Lyn, words cannot express the life lessons that she taught all those she came in contact with each and everyday. She had such a humble way of always making those in the worse conditions feel as if they were special. When she taught the children, their faces would light up with smiles as they too felt her love for them. She was not just a teacher to them she was their hope of a brighter day. Not to mention this year how she felt such a need to teach the ladies about the love that only Jesus can bring. As she taught faithfully every other week we began to see lives changed through Jesus. It was evident that she had won their respect and had gained their attention.  Not only the ladies but the men sat in the distance listening. We here in Romania who worked so closely with her each day can only say, “How blessed we have been that she was a part of our lives.”

As Lyn’s friend, her life will always have an impact on me. She was not just a friend-she was my teacher, encourager, prayer partner, and sister. My life was enriched because she was such a part of it. On the other hand, as her friend, I truly know that her one and only desire is now fulfilled. Lyn is now dancing on “streets of gold” because her deepest desire was to dance before the Lord with all her heart, soul, and might.

We will miss you, our friend, but we all know you are where you always spoke of being, “Before your Lord God and Savior.” Our deepest sympathy!

 OUR NEWEST GRANDSON:

John Andrew McClure was born Oct. 22nd to Andrew and Allison McClure weighing 7 lbs and 9 ounces. We are very proud of our new bundle of joy. My hopes is that he will not get too big before I can go home and hold him.

THANK YOU FOR ANOTHER WONDERFUL YEAR:

OUR THANKS TO YOU ALL FOR ANOTHER WONDERFUL YEAR OF MINISTRY.  Thank you for your support that you have so faithfully given each month. As I think of another glorious year and how faithful you have been I realized that your giving has been unto God as you too have faithfully answered HIS call. Your prayers and financial gifts are most appreciated and thank you so much for being God’s servants!

 Yours in Christ,

Freddy and Rita

We wish you all a very “Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.”
