Miracle Working God:
God’s ways are always higher than our ways.
(Is. 55:8-9) says, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts neither are your ways
my ways.” Last month I mentioned that we had seen God’s hand working so
miraculously in providing for the building in Ferma Larga!!! Indeed it was a
mighty move of God to provide the money to sow His Word into the hearts of the
people there. And even still this month God’s miraculous hand was overwhelmingly
displayed. Why? Because we now have a van sitting in our yard!!!!! Glory to
God!!!! Please allow me to explain God’s wonderful handy work.
Even
though the money had been provided for the church building in Ferma Larga, which
was so very, very important to enlarge and extend the work with the people
there, still deep within my spirit I felt the impulse to seek God with all my
heart for us to have transportation upon my return to Romania. I did not believe
that God was a God who would provide so mightily for a building to plant a
church and then not provide the means of transportation to get there to
accomplish the work. Daily I would read His Word back to HIM and say, “God,
these are Your promises. You wrote them so that we could come into agreement
with You and when we do then Your Word does not return void. It must accomplish
those things that it was sent or purposed to accomplish.” (Is. 55:11) God is
never late He is always on time! Each day I spoke to God and told Him that I was
sure that He would work on behalf of this petition and that the money would be
in hand when I boarded the plane. I repeatedly told God that I believed that He
could accomplish it with just one outstretched move of His Hand and just as
Abraham believed in a God who calls those things that are not as though they
are, I too believed in a God who could just speak and it would be done. However,
in all my petitioning I was quickened in my spirit that we must rest in the Word
of God, His purpose, His time, His way. Yes, we are to honor the Power of His
Might, but not for our own personal gain, rather to seek Him out,
not His gifts, not what He can do for us, but rather to seek to
cultivate that love relationship with the Father that spurs the very heart of
God to achieve His Will through us not because of us. If truly the
Father had ordained the building, provided for the purchase of the building, and
if it is His Will for us to make weekly visits to the people in Ferma Larga,
then He would provide the transportation there His way!!! Our task once the
petition is voiced is to simply rest in Him. Let the
Father’s Will be done!!!
Well, on Sunday evening March 13th,
I received a phone call from an individual that told me his heart’s concern was
for us to have a van. God had burdened his heart that we needed transportation
and God had placed in his heart that he was to give $10,000.00 toward this
purchase. When he talked to me all I could do was cry and say, “Thank you, thank
you!” I personally knew that this man and his wife did not have the wealth of
the world and that truly this gift would be a great sacrifice for them. However,
I also had witnessed that over the last few years God had tremendously used this
family in many other tasks to help advance the kingdom of God. And in their
willingness to give as God speaks to them, I have seen Him blessing them
abundantly. God’s Word never returns void! He says, “Give and it will be given
unto you good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over will man
give unto your bosom.” Indeed this family is and will continue to
reap His good measure for their
faithfulness to give. God worked so miraculously and sure enough God provided
for this need before I boarded the plane. He is Jehovah Jireh, the Lord God our
Provider. It is He who has made us and not we ourselves. We are merely His
people, the sheep of His pasture that He loves to use to
accomplish His purposes. TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY!!! As I was
leaving Birmingham, Alabama I entered into His Presence with thanksgiving and
into His courts with praise right there in the airport walking down the ramp,
praising Him for His Amazing Miracles and praying blessings upon all those who
had given in obedience to God’s Mighty Voice. Many people gave love offerings
and special offerings toward the van - churches and individuals - who heard God
speaking to their hearts and obeyed. A total of $12,300.00 was given toward the
purchase of a van. Praise the Mighty Name of Jesus! Within one week after my
return to Romania God led us to a very good 2000 model Ford Transit van. The man
was asking $14, 500.00, but I was able to purchase it for $12,500.00.
Hallelujah! God is awesome in supplying all our needs. I thank each and every
one of you who prayed with us in regard to this need and to those who
sacrificially gave toward this project. You all made it happen. May God richly
return to you His good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over!
Building in Ferma Larga:
Along with the purchase of the van we have
been also pursuing the purchase of the building. Things are going a little
slower with this purchase, but I believe that God will bring this to pass
quickly as well. It is always on His timetable, not ours. He knows that we have
a team from First Assembly (our home church) that is coming to help work on the
building. I am continuing to believe that if God provided for this work to be
done then He will bring it to pass right on time for this team to
begin working. Thanks again for the gifts from all of you who helped make this
project a work in progress.
Please rejoice with us as we celebrate the
Glorious and Awesome Miracle-working Power of our King. Truly He has shown us
His Mighty Power in providing for the van and also for the building. We give
them both back to Him to work in and through us for the advancement of His
Kingdom. Praise HIS Holy Name!
We ask that you continue to pray for us as we
continue to serve our Lord and Jesus here in Romania. We covet your prayers for
God’s daily wisdom upon us and for His glorious strength to be added to us
daily. Many times the normal process of simple things here in Romania becomes
more difficult and a bit exasperating and through these “opportunities”
we need an extra portion of God’s compassion and amazing strength to endure
those trying times and meet them with a smile.
First Assembly Team:
We want to welcome our own First Assembly
family that will be here with us on April 27th through May 4th.
They will be helping with some of the work on the building in Ferma Larga and we
will be going into some of the villages in Ileanda to do dry feedings to 126
families in that area whose names have been submitted by the local officials to
our office as families in dire need. We appreciate all the team members who have
willingly volunteered to come help us and we know that God will most certainly
bless your hearts in a tremendous way.
Our Appreciation:
Thank you all for your continued monthly
support. Please remember that without you we are unable to fulfill the call that
God has entrusted upon us. We appreciate all you do to help us carry the gospel
of Jesus Christ into Romania. Actually all of us here at Calea daily pray for
you in our office before we begin our day that God will pour out His Mighty
Blessings upon you continually. We believe that God is the lifter and sustainer
of those who faithfully give into His work. God bless you is our prayer!
Yours in Christ,
Freddy and Rita
